We’ve covered a few different async<\/code> pipe syntax tricks<\/a> earlier in this newsletter, as well as why it’s important to use the async<\/code> pipe to automate your subscriptions\/unsubcriptions<\/a> from Observables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, let’s see another interesting syntax that can be very helpful when a template has multiple subscriptions, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n

@if (firstName$ | async; as firstName) {\n  <div<\/span>><\/span>\n    @if (lastName$ | async; as lastName) {\n      <p<\/span>><\/span>First name: {{ firstName }}<\/p<\/span>><\/span>\n      <p<\/span>><\/span>Last name: {{ lastName }}<\/p<\/span>><\/span>\n    }\n  <\/div<\/span>><\/span>\n}<\/code><\/span>Code language:<\/span> HTML, XML<\/span> (<\/span>xml<\/span>)<\/span><\/small><\/pre>\n\n\n

We can simplify the above by creating a new object that has one property for each Observable value as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n
